  Millard I. Johnson, 70 of Rockwood RD 1, died July 28, 1977 in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born April 5, 1907 in Garrett, a son of the late
  Martin and Edith (Burkholder) Johnson.  Survived by five sons: Winfred of
  Garrett RD 1; Gerald L. of Rockwood RD 2; Russell W. of Rockwood; Carey A.
  of Chicago, Ill.; and Barry D. of Markleton; four daughters:  Mrs. Floyd
  (JoAnn) Brant of Garrett RD 1; Mrs. Harold (Sharon) Phillippi of Garrett RD
  1; Mrs. Gary (Kay) Tyhurst of Hayward, Cal.; and Mrs. Carl (Deanna) Snyder
  of Rockwood RD 1; seven brother: Oscar of Meyersdale RD 3; James, Charles,
  Robert, Paul, Clyde and Ray, all of Garrett  RD 1; a sister, Miss Mary
  Johnson of Garrett RD 1; 26 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 
  He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna on March 3, 1967, and by an
  infant son and a brother.  Friends will be received in the William J. Wood
  Funeral Home, Rockwood, from 2 to 4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) where
  services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Adrian Shearer
  officiating.  Interment, Center Lutheran Church Cemetery.
