Johnson, 80, Somerset RD 5 died Feb. 6, 1977, in Altoona Veterans Hospital. Born May 11, 1896, in Mill Run, a son of the late John and Emma Bowlby Johnson. Preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. Survived by his wife, the former Viola Faidley; two sons, Guy Somerset RD 5; and Ray Jupiter, Fla.; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Hattie Ankeney, Rockwood; Laverne Johnson, Berlin and Mrs. Kathleen Lawson of California; and one brother, Russell, Bridgeport, Mich. Member of former Fairview church of the Bretheren. He was a retired farmer, World War I veteran, member of Kingwood IOOF, World War I Barracks 3218, Somerset. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh officiating.
