   William J. " Bill"  Johnson, 75, Mill Run, died Aug. 5, 2007, at his home. He was born
  Feb. 23, 1932, in Mill Run, a son of the late C. Alvin and Opal King Johnson. In addition
  to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, William E. Johnson and a sister, Alverta King,
  Melcroft. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Broadwater Johnson; his son,
  David Johnson and wife, Cathy Sue, Normalville; seven grandchildren, Jeremiah Johnson and
  wife, Danielle, Normalville; Brian Johnson and Brent Johnson, both of Normalville; Jamie
  Johnson and Jason Johnson, both of Mount Pleasant; Michael Firestone and Katie
  Gillingham, both of Normalville; eight great- grandchildren, his brothers and sisters,
  Paul Johnson, and wife, Grace, Normalville; Janet Steyer, Mill Run; Thelma Keslar,
  Ridgeway; Archie Johnson and wife, Helen, Mill Run; Wayne Johnson and wife, Candy,
  Normalville; and Richard Johnson and wife, Donna, Somerset, and Opal King Johnson. " Bill" 
  was a retired lumber inspector having been employed by the Sproul Lumber Co., Mastowski
  and Fullem Lumber Co. and the Indian Creek Timberland Inc. He was a member of the
  Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Indian Head Church of God. Friends
  will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route
  711, Melcroft, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dennis Arndt
  officiating. Interment will follow in the Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run. To
