RUSSELL P. JOHNSTON

  Russell P. Johnston, eldest son of the late Rev. Dr. and Mrs. E. S. Johnston 
of Salisbury, died at his home in Odeboit, Iowa, on January 4th, aged 84 years, 
9 months and 23 days.  Death was due to heart trouble and infirmities of age.  
Mr. Johnston went to Iowa in 1887 and was a prominent businessman there until 
his retirement three years ago.
  He is survived by his wife, three sons, one daughter, two grandchildren, two 
brothers - E. S. Johnston of Altoona and Robert H. Johnston of Salisbury - and 
one sister, Miss Carrie Johnston of Salisbury.
