She was born in Meyersdale, and was a daughter of the late Thomas Broadstock and Cora (Sites) Broadstock. She was twice married. She was preceded in death by both husbands, John J. Burns and Joseph E. Johnston. She was a Democratic election judge at the precenct located at Kingsley United Methodist Church, Williams Street, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the local Senior Citizens organization. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Cadigan, Martinsburg, W. Va.; Mrs. Mary Callahan, Baltimore, Maryland; one brother, C.R. Broadstock, Bedford Heights, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. The Scarpelli Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment was in Hillcrest Burial Park. Pallbearers were Michael Cadigan, John Callahan, Craig Callahan, Eugene Clark, Patrick Burns and John Burns. The Republic, August 4, 1983 [J0235]
