Druscilla "Dodie" Jones, 75, Windber, went to home to be with her lord on Sept. 5, 2001. Born Sept. 29, 1925 in Richland Township, daughter of Harold and Agnes (Giffin) Trent. Preceded in death by father and son Dennis. Survived by mother, Johnstown, husband, the Rev. Kermit L., and these children: Karen Jones, Champion, Joy, wife of Lee Miller, and Ruby, wife of Jay Mader, both of Windber, and Cynthia, wife of Wendell (John) Ritenour, Champion. Also nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. Sister of Harriet Kyler, Lois, wife of Robert Britle. Robert, and wife Romayne, and Richard, and wife Donna, all of Johnstown. A 1944 graduate of Richland Township High School. Mrs. Jones enjoyed baseball, quilting, and playing several instruments. Member of Sugar Grove Church of the Brethren, Blough, and served with her husband in ministry at Parkhill Chapel, and the Ogletown, County Line, Fairview, Maple Grove and Windber Churches of the Brethren congregations. She served as a deaconess and was a member of the Auxiliary to the Church of the Brethren Home. The family will receive from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Meek Funeral Home, Inc., Windber, where Prayer Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Friday. Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rummel Church of the Brethren. The Revs. Brian Simmons and Garnet Myers, officiating.
