(Peg) Jones, 78, of Somerset RD 1, died March 27, 1983, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born April 20, 1904, in Grove City, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Warren, Verner and Arthur. Survived by her husband, Rankin M., and sister, Belva Brishin, of Columbus, Ohio; one niece and one nephew. She was a graduate of Grove City High School and Grove City College, where she received her B.S. in 1927. She attended Penn State University and received her master of business education degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She taught school for 36 years in Brownsville, Mt. Pleasant Township and Forbes Area. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church; the Friendship Class and United Methodist Women. She was a past matron of of Greensburg Chapter 281 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, Pennsylvania State Educational Association and the local AARP Chapter 13. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. today (Monday) in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Calvary United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harry C. Sherry officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Body will lie in state in the church from noon Tuesday until the hour of service. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church or the Heart Fund. Trinity Chapter Number 138, Order of the Eastern Star, will conduct a memorial service in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Daily American, March 28, 1983 [J0273]
