Jones, 73, Corriganville, Md., died April 10, 2004, at her residence. Born Oct. 19, 1930, in Rockwood, the daughter of the late Charles Harvey and Helen Frances (Sembower) Clay. Also preceded in death by her husband, Claude W. Jones. Surviving are three daughters, Candace S. Geatz and husband Thomas, Lebanon, Ohio, Claudia J. Herndon, Union Bridge and Jody J. College and husband Michael, Woodbine; son, Clay W. Jones and fiancee Debra Bryant, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; sister, Nancy A. Ansell and husband James, Lorraine, Ohio; brother, James D. Clay and wife Janine, Somerset; five grandchildren, Thomas A. Geatz III and wife Jennifer, Lebanon, Angela M. Geatz and fiance Thomas Mitch Wilner, Beavercreek, Ohio, Melissa J. Geatz, Lebanon, Katherine E. College and Lauren M. College, both of Woodbine; great-grandson, Thomas A. Geatz IV, Lebanon; special little friends, Tyler Hetrick, Nicholas Bowers and Marcus Bowers and her beloved pet, Heidi. Mrs. Jones was a retired registered nurse for Memorial Hospital. Her hobbies included sewing, antiques, quilting and reading. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Md., where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Diane Smith officiating. Interment, Maryland State Veterans' Cemetery, Rocky Gap, Flintstone.
