  Rankin M. Jones, 83, Maple Ridge Heights, died May 24, 1988, at Siemon
  Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born Oct. 9, 1904, in Westmoreland County, son of
  the late Oliver C. and Sarah R. (Anderson) Jones.  Preceded in death by
  parents, sister; Ruth Potter; and wife, Pearl Geneva Williams, died March
  27, 1983.  Survived by one sister, Oliver Spaugy, Harrisville, Pa.  Member
  of Calvary United Methodist Church; Friendship Bible Class; past master of
  Brownsville Lodge #60 F. & A. M.; St. Omers Commandry #7, Brownsville;
  Brownsville Royal Arch Chapter 164; and Grand Holy Royal Arch Chapter. 
  Retired director of industrial arts in vocational education at Somerset
  Area School from 1952-70.  Member of Retired Somerset County Public School
  Employees Association and AARP.  Honorary member of the Somerset Volunteer
  Fire Department.  Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Robert H.
  Halverson Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11
  a.m. in Calvary United Methodist Church, the Rev. Harry C. Sherry
  officiating.  Body will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until the
  hour of service.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Somerset
  Masonic Lodge (F. & A. M.) will conduct memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
  Thursday at the funeral home.
