THOMAS M. JONES, SR.

  Thomas M. Jones, Sr., aged 49, of 703 Spangler Drive, Zanesville, Ohio, died 
at the Bethesda Hospital, shortly after having been admitted at 2 p.m. on 
Saturday, August 30.  He was born in Greenville Township, a son of Matthew and 
Mary (Hetrick) Jones.
  He is survived by two sons, Jack of Zanesville and Thomas M., Jr. of Philo, 
Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Grosscup and Misses Iva and Anabella Jones, 
all of Zanesville; one brother, George W. Jones of Baltimore, Md.; four sisters, 
Mrs. Carrie Huffman of Zanesville, O., Mrs. Ruth Livingston of Cumberland, Md., 
Mrs. Mae Shockey of Frostburg, Md., and Mrs. Annie Baer of Salisbury R.D. 1.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at the Keck 
Funeral Home in Zanesville, Rev. Louis Campbell of the Brighton Presbyterian 
Church officiating.  Interment in Memorial Park.  Mr. and Mrs. George W. Jones, 
who spent their summers on the home place on Salisbury R.D. 1, attended the 
funeral.
