He was aged 64. The remains were receiver her[sic] on Tuesday and given in charge of Undertaker Reich and were taken to his home and funeral services were held there at 2 o'clock today, conducted by Dr. A. E. Truxal and interment was made in the Union Cemetery. Besides the wife, Mrs. Mary Jones the following sons and daughters are living: Peter, Harry, William, Patrick, Earl, Lee, Margaret; Mrs. Esther Stine and Mrs. Cora Corfield. Meyersdale Commercial, Dec. 16, 1915 --- "William Jones" Was born on January 9, 1848 and died December 13, 1915. He was son of Mr. Reese and Mrs. Mary Jones of Wales, the latter coming to this country in 1847 and lived in the anthracite coal regions. Mr. Jones came to Meyersdale where he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Lindeman on October 20, 1880 and to them were born eleven children: Harry Jones and W. T. Jones of Meyersdale; Mrs. Cora E. Corfield and Mrs. Esther Stein of Romania; John Miller Jones died in infancy; Robert C. Jones of Boynton; Theodore G. Jones who died last August; Miss Margaret Jones, Earl Jones, Lee Jones at home; Rosella, who died 11 years ago. Besides his wife and family to mourn his loss there are four brothers - Benjamin of Salisbury; John H. of West Virginia; Hugh of Washington and David of Mt. Carmel. Memoriam - In sad but loving remembrance of my husband and our father, William Jones who departed this life December 13, 1915 - gone but not forgotten. Weep not that his toils are over, Weep not that his race is run, God grant that we may rest as calmly When our work like his is done Till then we yield with gladness Our Father to him to keep, And rejoice in the sweet assurance He giveth his beloved one sleep.
