"Betty" Tipton Josephson, 87, of Greensburg, died Nov. 5, 1994, at her home. Born June 6, 1907 in Somerset County, daughters of the late Claude and Helen Carolus Ryman. Life member of the Church of God, Cleveland, Tenn. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two husbands: Edward L. Tipton and the Rev. John H. Josephson; a son, Eugene Tipton, and two daughters: Marie May Tipton and Gloria Ivadene Tipton. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Louise) Trout of Greensburg, with whom she resided; a sister, Mrs. Julia Mitchell of Boswell; three grandchildren: Edward A. Trout of Washington, Ill.; Harry A. Trout of Export and Connie L. Landis of Greensburg; also 6 great-grandsons, a great-granddaughter, 3 step-grandsons, a step-granddaughter, several step-great-grandchildren and number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Martin R. Koss officiating. Interment will follow in the United Brethren Church Cemetery, Jenner Township. Daily American, November 7, 1994 [J0313]
