She was born April 19, 1919, daughter of the late James W. and Mae Belle (Wilson) True. She was a former employee of the Celanese Corporation and the Times and Alleganian Company. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Senior Citizens, and the Sunrise Band. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Calvin Joy; three sons, Richard C. Walker, Los Angeles, Calif.; Kenneth R. "Butch" Joy, Short Gap, W. Va.; one stepson, Donald L. Joy, Anchorage, Alaska; five daughters, Marjorie Mummert and Nancy Jane Ketterman, both of Cumberland, Md.; Linda Weadon, Ellerslie, Md.; Sandra Kay Robinette, Salisbury; and Sherry Lynn Joy at home; two sisters, Margaret Manges and Betty Jane McKay, both of Cumberland, Md.; 30 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Friends were received in the Scarpelli Funeral Home, where services were conducted Sunday at 12:30 p.m. by the Rev. Wayne Turner. Interment, Hillcrest Burial Park.
