Joyce, 83, of Golden Towers, Tarentum, died October 18, at the Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona heights, Harrison, where she was admitted October 10. Born July 7, 1905 in Garrett, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Leona (Malcolm) Grant, also of Garrett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel A. Joyce in 1974; her patens, two sons: David and John; a daughter, Helen Stabile; a sister, Elizabeth; and a brother, Belmont. She is survived by: a son, Daniel R. Joyce, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three daughters: Mrs. John (Mary Ann) Jankowski, of Tarentum; Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Sherwood, ElPaso, Texas; and Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Montoga of Freemount, California; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Thelma Lenhart, Garrett; and Emma Boyer, Cumberland, Md. She taught elementary school in Somerset County Schools, Most Blessed Sacrament School in Natrona Heights; and St. Peter's School, in New Kensington, before retiring in 1963. Friends were received at the Albert H. Duster and Sons Funeral Home in Tarentum. Burial was in the Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. The Republic, October 27, 1988 [J0316]
