Born April 12, 1915, in Wichita, Kan., a daughter of the late James L. and Nellie Ruth Winscott Brant. Preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn, who died in 1996; a brother, James Brant, and a sister, Ruth Katherine McClung. Survived by the following children: Mrs. Jesse (Susanne) Wright of Louisville, Ky.; Mrs. Fred (Barbara) Elliott of Somerset and E. Brant Judy, and wife Tai of American Samoa, and grandchildren: Janel Elliott, Andrew and Laura Wright, Leilani, Katie and B. J. Judy; brother Robert E. and sister-in-law Eileen Brant of Somerset and South Carolina. A member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and a 50-year member of the DAR, Forbes Road Chapter. Attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Home Aid Association. Retired Somerset County employee with 32 years of service in the commissioner's office, mailroom, voter's registration office and 13 years as county auditor. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Glenn Sadler officiating.
