Born March 13, 1920, in Scranton, son of Joseph and Anna (Inawicki) Jurgevich. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Martin, and sister, Mary Steinkirchner. Survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Ruth Kimmel; children, Nancy, Palm Bay, Fla., Joseph, married to the former Gail Redden, Somerset; and James, married to the former Vicki Gohn, Stoystown; grandchildren, Joseph and Maria Jurgevich; step grand-children, Robin Fish, Christie Corbett and Jerri Lee Wahdan and six step great-grandchildren. Brother of William, Bethel Park, Dorothy Martina, Cortland, Ohio; James, Turtle Creek and Helen Pongrac, Grand Blanc, Mich. A World War II Navy veteran. Retired from Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville and 55 Speeders. Life member of Robert P. Hite Post 257 American Legion, Stoystown and Somerset V.F.W. Post 554. Family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Karl Kolodziejski O.F.M. Conv., and Rev. Larry Weigle officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to In Touch Hospice, 223 S. Pleasant Ave., Somerset, PA 15501. Legion service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday.
