  Duane E. Jury, 63, Somerset RD 7, died Dec. 27, 1988, at Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born Sept. 14, 1925, Clearfield, Pa., son of the late Elmer N.
  and Hope (Murray) Jury.  Survived by stepmother, Pearl (Shubert) Jury,
  Florida; and his wife, former Marcelean “Marsh” Dixon; two sons: CPO Tim
  D., U.S. Navy, Cubi Point, Philippines, married to former Olivia Vangie;
  Tom D., married to former Janet Hay, Somerset RD 7; three granddaughters: 
  Melissa, Jennifer, Jessica; half-sister, Mrs. Esther (Anderson) Warner,
  Columbus, Ohio; stepbrothers; Clyde, Norman and Carl Shubert; stepsisters,
  Mrs. Donna McGarry; niece, Mrs. Betsy (Anderson) Mangone, Evergreen, Colo.
  Member of Husband United Methodist Church.  Retired from Beckwith Machinery
  Company, Dec. 1985, 36 years service U. S. Navy.  World War II Navy veteran
  service aboard LST 556.  Member VFW Post 554, American Legion Post 181,
  F.O.E. Aerie 1801, Somerset County Jeep Club, National LST.  Friends will
  be received 7-9 p.m. Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Friday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be conducted
  11 a.m. Saturday by Rev. David Jack officiating, Interment, Weller
  Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer
  Society, American Red Cross or Husband United Methodist Church.
