(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: October 13, 1870 Mr. Adam Kettering died very suddenly in Johnstown on Sunday morning week. He arose in his usual health and ate a hearty breakfast, but about half-past nine o'clock complained of a severe pain in the region of the heart, and in a short time thereafter, he was a corpse. Mr. K. was a native of Germany, but came to this country early in life, and for many years resided in Somerset county, but for the last five or six years has been a citizen of Johnstown, where he was much esteemed. His age was about 55 years, and he was the head of a large family.
