The Somerset herald. : (Somerset, Pa.) 1870-1936: October 28, 1874
On the 4th inst., Jacob Kooser, at his residence in Milford Tp., Story County, Iowa,
aged about 44 years. The deceased was born in Milford T., Somerset County, Pa., in
1830. In 1857 he went to the cold region of Minnesota, where he remained one year.
Then he went to Story Co., Iowa, where he remained until his death. Liking the
country very well, he purchased a farm of new prairie land and added to it until he
had a farm of about 400 acres. He was respected by all who knew him; he leaves a
wife and four children to mourn his loss.
