  KABINA
  
  Steve Kabina, 88, of Berlin, died Nov. 4, 1993, at Church of the Brethren
  Home, Scalp Level.  Born May 26, 1905, in Windber, son of John and Katie
  (Mayton) Kabina.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Martha
  Swanson; sons: John and Edward; daughter, Bertha; brother, John, and
  sister, Christine Shields.  Survived by these children: Ernest, married to
  the former Anne Llewellyn, Central City; Katie Spory, Johnstown; Norman,
  married to the former Ellen Blivens, Bel Air, Md., and Steve Jr., married
  to the former Beverly Briskey, Somerset; 20 grandchildren and numerous
  great-grandchildren. Brother of Katie Brothers, Blasdell, N.Y.  Retired
  from Svonavec Coal Company.  Member of Brothersvalley Church of the
  Brethren.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m Friday and 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will
  be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Timothy E. Resh.  Interment, Pike Cemetery
  Brotherton.
