Born April 25, 1915 in Black Township, Somerset County, daughter of the late Charles and Amanda (Weimer) Pritts. Survived by son, Terry C. Younkin of Rockwood, and daughter, Avis Y. Engleka, Wilsoncreek. She is the last surviving member of her family. She leaves five grandsons and three granddaughters. Also, six great-grandsons and five great-granddaughters. Preceded in death by parents, sisters, Florence and Edna and brothers, Orville and Carl. She went to Baltimore in 1942 and did restaurant work most of her life. She put the term "hard-working" on a higher level. She also loved to bake and cook for others. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Somerset County Memorial Park, Somerset, Pa. with Rev. Jay Christner delivering the eulogy. Immediately after the service, there will be a luncheon buffet at Oakhurst Tea Room for family and friends where we will celebrate "Miss Julia's" life. Daily American, November 20, 2001 [K0031]
