Born March 19, 1914 in Somerset, son of John Ralph and Mabel (Jones) Kantner. Preceded In death by parents and brother, George Black Kantner. Survived by wife, Leola (Hostetler) Kantner, to whom he was married 57 years; and daughters, Mrs. Jay H. (Robin) Forman, Vienna, Va. and Miss Nancy J. Kantner of Chambersburg. Brother of Mrs. E. Louise Longridge, Somerset. Retired salesman for Walters Tire Service of Somerset and Mountain Meadow Farm of New Baltimore. A 1932 graduate of Somerset High School and had attended Duff's Business School of Pittsburgh. Veteran of U.S. Navy in World War II. Past Somerset Borough councilman. Member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Past commander of American Legion Post No. 181. Member of VFW Post 554, B.P.O. Elks Lodge of Meyersdale and vice president of the 55 and Over Speeders. No viewing or visitation. Graveside services will be conducted at 10, Friday, at Somerset County Memorial Park. Rev. Ray E. Lyon officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
