Pleasant RD 5, died Sunday Oct. 8, 1989, at home. Born Aug 20, 1912, in Mt. Pleasant Township, a son of the late Matthew and Barbara (Fencil) Kantorik. Preceded in death by wife, Virginia June (Wilkens) Kantorik; son, Earnest Ray Kantorik, and two sisters, Helen Hill and Mrs. Margaret Bish. Survived by two sons, Alvin D. Kantorik, Mt. Pleasant RD 5, and Gerald E. Kantorik, at home; daughter, Mrs. John (Rachel) Fullerton, Ocala, Fla., and five grandchildren. Member of the Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren, the Horse and Mule Association and the Fort Allen Antique Club. Prior to his retirement, he worked on bridge construction for A. R. Coffeen of Zelienople; also a truck driver and farmer. Friends will be received at the Eugene G. Saloom Funeral Home, Main St., Mt. Pleasant, from 2-4 to 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at funeral home, with the Rev. Durward E. Hays officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Daily American, October 11, 1989 [K0081]
