  KAPITAN
  
  Mrs. Helen L. Kapitan, 85, a resident of the Franklin County Nursing Home,
  Chambersburg, and formerly of Mercersburg, and Stoystown, died at 11:53
  p.m., Feb. 15, 1996 in the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg.   Born Nov.
  14, 1910, in Berlin, she was a daughter of the late George and Edna Brandt
  Stahl.  She was last employed by the former Heisey Orchards of
  Mercersburg.  Her husband, Emery Carl Kapitan died March 21, 1989.  Mrs.
  Kapitan is survived by a daughter, Linda Jo Ann Mowen of Waynesboro; three
  sons, Ronald G. Kapitan of North Huntingdon; E. Paul Kapitan of
  Littlestown; and Larry Kapitan of Ocala, Fla.; one sister, Shirley Airesman
  of Berlin; two brothers, Paul Stahl of Little Hocking, Ohio and Robert Stahl
  of Berlin; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Funeral
  services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19 in Lininger-Fries
  Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg, with the Rev. Stuart Troutman,
  officiating.  Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg. 
  Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
