  RUTH KARASHOWSKY

  Ruth Karashowsky, 83, of Hooversville, died Jan. 26, 2004, at Select
  Specialty Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Feb. 14, 1920, in Hooversville, a
  daughter of Charles J. and Ella (Helman) Fyock.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, John; sister, Florence Birch and brothers: Robert Leroy
  and Earl J. Fyock and Foster Sabin.  Survived by sons: Kenneth, married to
  the former Brenda Maust, and James, married to the former Elaine Trevarrow,
  both of Hooversville; grandchildren: Betsy Marie, Christopher Allen, Anthony
  John and Daniel James Karashowsky and a sister Ruby Rosey of Hooversville.
  Lifetime member of Hooversville Church of the Brethren where she quilted
  for many years.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, 976 Barn St., Hooversville where service
  will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.  Rev. John E. Eash officiating.  Interment
  P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.  Memorial contributions may be given to
  Hooversville Church of the Brethren, Hooversville, Pa.  15936.
