(Snowball) Binnie-Kauffman, 88, of Four Seasons Road, Boswell RD, died Aug. 24, 2002, at Altoona Hospital. Born July 27, 1914, in East Conemaugh, Cambria County she was the daughter of Luke and Ethel Mae (Moore) Snowball. She was preceded in death by parents, her first husband, Richard B. Binnie on Feb. 14, 1972, and great-granddaughter, Ilana Rose Hunt. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, James Kaufman, daughter, Lois (Binnie), married to W. Paul Hunter, Hollidaysburg; son, R. Dean Binnie, married to the former Donna L. Empfield, Boswell RD. She also is survived by grandchildren, David P. Hunter, married to the former Julie Dellape, Hollidaysburg; Douglas R. Hunter, Hollidaysburg; Eric R. Binnie, Sterling, Va., and Amy M. (Binnie), married to Joshua Brown, Lawrenceville, Va. She is survived by great-grandchildren, Quinn, Olivia and Emilie Hunter. She is survived by stepchildren, Joseph Kaufman, married to the former Betsy Joswick, Boswell, RD; Michael Kaufman, married to the former Marilyn Sinclair, Boswell RD, and Angela (Kaufman), married to Butch Lyons, Blairsville. She is survived by step-grandchildren, Julia Kaufman, New York, N.Y., Tiffany (Kaufman) Prangnell, Maui, Hawaii; and Joshua Kaufman, Columbus, Ohio. She was a graduate of Ferndale Area High School and Cambria-Rowe Business College, Johnstown. She was a bookkeeper for the former H.E. Wagner Motor Sales in Johnstown. She also was a retired payroll clerk for the North Star School District. She was a member of the Jennerstown United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir, United Methodist Women and Lamplighter Sunday School class. She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer and an avid reader and cook. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell. There also will be a viewing from 10 a.m, until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Jennerstown United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ronald J. Geisler and Paul Scruton officiating. Interment at the Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian's name may be sent to the United Methodist Women, c/o Jennerstown United Methodist Church, Box 2011 Jennerstown, Pa., 15547.
