  KAUFMAN
  
  Carl A. Kaufman, 76, Friedens RD 2, died Aug. 12, 1987, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born July 12, 1911, in Bedford County.  He was
  preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Mildred Fisher. 
  Survived by his wife, Peggy J. Whipkey, and two sons, Robert Lee Whipkey
  and Williard R. Kaufman, both at home; three sisters, Sadie Eller,
  Jennerstown; Stella Detwiler and Hazel Detwiler, both of Saxton.  Funeral
  arrangements in charge of Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home are incomplete.

  Funeral services for Carl A. Kaufman will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m.
  in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home with the Rev. C.J. Ickes officiating. 
  Interment, Beams Cemetery.  Friends will be received in the funeral home
  Friday (today) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
