  KAUFMAN
  
  Rev. Lester J. Kaufman - 878 Irvona, died in his home Sunday January 12 at
  11:30 a.m.  Born in Benfer, Snyder County, Pa. on April 9, 1896.  Son of
  Abraham and Annie Schaeffer Kaufman and married the former Helen E. Shoff
  who survives along with two sons, John R. of Irvona RD and David L., New
  York City.  Two grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters, Clinton and
  Stanley both of Selinsgrove, Pa., three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Nearhoff,
  McClure, Pa., Mrs. Grace McCartney, Yeagerstown, Mrs. Pearl Orchey,
  Torrence, Calif.  Preceded by one son Lester.  Funeral services Wednesday
  at 1:30 p.m. in the Messiah Lutheran Church, Troxellville, Snyder County,
  Pa.  The interment will be in the Troxellville Cemetery.  Friends will be
  received in the Lloyd Funeral Home, Irvona Tuesday from 7-9 p.m.  In lieu
  of flowers, family requests contributions to the Hunger Fund, care of Rev.
  Michael Brendle, Houtzdale, Pa.
