She was a daughter of Peter and Rachel Kinsinger and was born near Meyersdale. The family moved to Davidsville when Mrs. Kaufman was a young girl. In addition to her husband, Noah Kaufman, also a native of Somerset County, she is survived by a daughter, Elda, wife of Ammon Yoder, Woodstown; a sister, Mrs. Sevilla Hershberger, living near Davidsville and four step-children; Ammon, Davidsville; Harrison, Belleville; Norman, Riverside, and Emma, wife of Noah Hostetler, Jerome. Her body was brought to the Kaufman Mennonite Church near Davidsville, where funeral services were conducted on Thursday afternoon, July 10, by Rev. Emmanuel Peachey and Rev. John B. Zook of Belleville and Rev. Harry Shetler of Davidsville. Interment in the Kaufman Cemetery. Mrs. Kaufman and her husband were for many years both before and after their removal from Somerset to Mifflin County, very valued friends in Somerset County and frequently stopped at The Republican office for a friendly chat with their long-time friend, the senior editor.
