Born Sept. 9, 1910, in Philadelphia. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Margaret E. "Peggy" (Kaufman), on Aug. 16, 2001, and daughter, Sara Mitzi Kaufman on Nov. 27, 1965. Survived by son, Terry, married to Nancy Miller and grandsons, Patrick and Seth, all of Jenner Township. Attended UPJ and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a Tech. 4, with the 99th Infantry. Former auto mechanic for Leitenberger Machine, Johnstown, and later was an automotive instructor at the Chambersburg Vo-Tech for approximately 18 years. No visitation, however, following cremation, friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. The Rev. Jacquelyn S. Ahern officiating.
