  Genevieve (Gontis) Kavar, 70, Boswell RD 2, died Oct. 2, 1988, at home. 
  Born Aug. 21, 1918, in Gray, daughter of John and Mary (Moskal) Gontis. 
  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John and Charles.  Survived by
  husband, George; and daughter, Georgean, wife of Louis Ciocca, Endwell,
  N.Y.; grandchildren: David, Douglas and Jennifer.  Sister of: Sophie, wife
  of Peter Stets; Joseph, married to former Anna Stetz; and Victor, married
  to former Mary Ann Tims, all of Boswell RD 2.  Very active member of St.
  John Catholic Church, Acosta.  Observed 48th wedding anniversary April 19,
  1988.  Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home,
  Main St., Boswell, where Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. 
  Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Church, Father
  Benjamin Dykas.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
