Kean, 70, of 603 Hilltop Drive, Cumberland, Md., died Monday, April 6, 1987, in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland Md. Born in Confluence, Dec. 13, 1916, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Edna Mae (Hyatt) Kreger. She was a machine judge for the election board at the Johnson Heights School polling place. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Fourth District Democratic Club. Surviving are her husband, Clarence B.A. Kean Sr.; one son, Clarence B.A. Kean Jr., Cumberland, Md.; two brothers, Carl D. Kreger Bowling Green, Md.; and Charles L. Kreger, Confluence; three sisters Mrs. Bertha Ann Shea and Mrs. Dolly F. Himmler, both of Cumberland, Md.; and Mrs. Myra K. Sechler, Addison. Friends will be received in the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Thursday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Lee McDaniel.
