Born in Hollsopple, he was the son of the late Luke and Olive (Boyce) Kearney. He retired as a sergeant first class in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion and VFW Posts in Deer Park. Surviving are one son, Luke E. Roush, Salisbury; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Fazenbaker, Oakland, Md.; and Mrs. Virginia Warnick Akron, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Friends were received in the David A. Burdock Funeral Home where services were conducted Wednesday at 1 p. m. by the Rev. Joseph Phillips. Interment, Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, W. Va. The Republic, April 2, 1987 [K0144]
