IDA ETTA PENN KEEFER

  Mrs. Ida Etta Penn Keefer, 77, passed away Sunday at 12:15 p.m. at the home of 
her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hileman of West Main Street, 
following an illness of the past three months, suffering from a chronic heart 
ailment.
  Mrs. Keefer was born in Cumberland, Md., daughter of William and Catherine 
Grofft Penn.  Her husband, William A. Keefer, passed away January 28, 1938.  Her 
home was in Meyersdale before coming to Somerset.
  She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ralph Gorman of Tomah, Wis.; 
Mrs. Charles Hileman of Somerset; Floyd Keefer of Meyersdale.  Four 
grandchildren also survive and a brother, the Rev. William H. Penn of Hazel 
Green, Wis.  The funeral was held at the Hoffman Funeral Home in Somerset on 
Wednesday afternoon, November 4.  Burial was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in 
Berlin.
