Isreal Keefer. Grand Old Citizen of Somerset County Dies While Visiting 
Daughter at Casselman.

Isreal Keefer died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Berger (Elizabeth 
Keefer Murray), at Casselman, PA., on the morning of May 16. On the night of May 
8, he became seriously ill with acute digestive poisoning, to which, after 
suffering intensely for about eight days, he succumbed.

Mr. Keefer was in a comparatively good state of health until about nine years 
ago when his system was broken down by a severe attack of rheumatism. Since that 
time, he had been more or less enfeebled, but in spite of these ailments he was 
remarkably well preserved for his age.
