  KEFFER
  
  Jacob Swank Keefer, 78, 420 S. Kimberly Avenue, Avenue, Somerset, formerly
  of Stoystown RD 3, died Oct. 13, 1977, in Somerset Community Hospital.  He
  was born May 6, 1899, in Shanksville, son of George H. and Mary (Hill)
  (Umberger) Keefer.  He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife,
  the former Beatrice Shrock; brothers Jay and Homer Keefer, George and John
  Umberger; and sister, Amanda Havice.  He is survived by his widow, the
  former Helen Boyer; sister, Edith Leventry, Johnstown; and several nieces
  and nephews.  He is retired from Yellow Cab, Johnstown and was a member of
  the Shanksville United Methodist Church.  Family will receive friends from
  2-4 and 7-9 p. m. Friday in Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services
  will be conducted at 1 p. m. Saturday, the Rev. Marlin A. Miller,
  officiating.  Interment, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.  It is requested -
  no flowers.
