Keel, 58, of Buffalo Mills RD 1, died Sunday, June 22, 1986, at his home. Born in Wellersburg July 15, 1927, he was a son of Mrs. Carrie (Lee) Keel, Cumberland, Md., and the late Sherman Keel Sr. He was employed in the Cumberland office of the Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and attended the Hyndman United Church of Christ. Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, the former Maxine L. Shaffer; one son, Michael L. Keel, Hyndman; one daughter, Mrs. Donna J. Zimmerman, Buffalo Mills; five brothers, Leo Keel, of Ohio; Herman Keel, Mount Savage, Md.; Floyd Keel, of Florida; Merle Keel, Baltimore, Md.; Robert Keel, Cumberland, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Barnhart, Roanoke, Va.; Miss Mildred Keel, of Kansas; Miss Elsie Keel, Cumberland, and three grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where services were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Stevens Burr. Interment, Hyndman Cemetery.
