A son of Conrad and Caroline (Finsel) Keidel, he was a prominent farmer and a Baltimore and Ohio railroad track foreman. He lived his entire life in Northampton Township. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nellie (Poorbaugh) Keidel and the following children: Robert Keidel, Washington, D.C.; Alice Fae and Elizabeth Jean Keidel, both at home. Also surviving are one brother, Henry Keidel of Confluence and three sisters, Mrs. Harvey Werner, Greenville Township; Mrs. John Ackerman, Berlin R.D. 4, and Mrs. Jonas Dively, Holsopple. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Saturday afternoon in the Mt. Lebanon Evangelical and Reformed Church of which the deceased was a life-long member, with the Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger officiating. Burial in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in charge of Johnson & Son, Berlin. Meyersdale Republican, September 24, 1942
