He was born Nov. 30, 1900, in Elk Lick Township, son of the late David H. and Oma (Engle) Keim. He was preceded in death by a son, William, in 1943. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen E. Loechel. He is also survived by one son, Jack E. Keim of Somerset; and three daughters: Mrs. Blair (Mary Lou) Kolb, of Springs; Mrs. Earl (Esther K.) Clapper, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Donald E. (Patricia K.) Beggs, Somerset; also one sister, Mrs. Howard (Elizabeth) Johnson, of Meyersdale; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. He was a member and elder emeritus of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury; a former councilman and water commissioner in Salisbury Borough; former member of Salisbury Lions Club; and retired after 30 years as the owner-operator of Keim's Transportation Co. Friends were received in the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. Funeral services were held in St. John's United Church of Christ the Rev. Maurice R. Smith Jr. officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
