All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ SARAH ELIZABETH KELLER Sarah Elizabeth Keller, born in Salisbury, Nov. 3, 1908, died very suddenly and unexpectedly in the Keystone Hospital, Harrisburg, July 11, 1941. Her death was caused by a coronary embolism. She had been taken to the hospital for what seemed to be an ailment of the kidneys; but her condition was not considered serious. She was taken to the hospital at 11 a.m., and died four and a half hours later. Miss Keller was a daughter of Mrs. Adaline Keller of Salisbury, and the late Warren D. Keller, who died some years ago in Philadelphia, where the family lived at that time. She is survived by her mother and one brother, Lee Keller, the latter of Pittsburgh. At the time Miss Keller was taken ill she was employed as a filing clerk in Harrisburg, by the National Youth Administration. She was intelligent, energetic, and well thought of. The funeral services were held at the home of her aunts, the Misses Edith and Almira Lichliter, and was conducted by Rev. S. D. Sigler, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church. Among the many who attended the funeral were Mrs. R. L. Gowan and Mrs. William Erwin of Philadelphia; Levi G. Lichliter and family, Heil Lichliter and family of Harrisburg; Mr. and Mrs. David Lichliter of Boswell; George Keller and family of Geistown; Jerry Keller and Mrs. Sidney Berkebile of Kemmelton; Mr. and Mrs. James Will of Somerset, R.D.; Mrs. C. J. Shoemaker and children of Hooversville; Charles Keller and family of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Noah Lohr, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Diehl of Wilkinsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Boucher, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Bender, and Miss Fay Pyle of Somerset; George Barchus of Damascus, Va., and Mrs. Melissa Boucher of Grantsville, Md. There were many beautiful floral tributes from far and near and interment was in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, local mortician.
