Kelley, 68, died Sunday, May 14, 1989, at his residence. Born Feb. 8, 1921, in Barrelville, he was the son of the late George C. and Katherine C. (Loar) Kelley. He was a former employee of the Celanese Fibers Corporation and was a maintenance worker at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage, Md.; an Army veteran of World War II, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mishawaka, Ind. Surviving are his stepsister, Mrs. Mary Rose Claypool, Mishawaka, Ind., and four step-nieces. Friends were received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, LaVale, Md. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Wednesday at 10 a.m. by Father John, J. Mackey. Interment, parish cemetery. The Republic, May 18, 1989 [K0248]
