Kelley, aged 63, a former resident of Johnstown and recently of Meyersdale, died unexpectedly at 5 o'clock Sunday morning as he was being taken to a Meyersdale hospital. Mr. Kelley had been visiting a sister, Mrs. Idelia Schrock of Summit Township, near Garrett, when he was taken ill about 4 a.m. He was being taken to a hospital by Lester Schrock, a son of Mrs. Schrock, when he passed away. Coroner F. E. Sass said death resulted from a heart attack. Samuel F. Kelley was born in Somerset County on April 10, 1877, a son of William and Nancy (Shaffer) Kelley, natives of New Baltimore. His wife, Mrs. Helen (Brennan) Kelley, died a number of years ago. Mr. Kelley leaves these children: Mrs. Frank Hamilton, Geistown; Mrs. John Reid, Johnstown, and Hugh Kelley, Johnstown, and Mrs. C. A. Bittner, Mrs. Jean McCoy and William Kelley, all of Toledo, O. The remains were prepared for burial by W. C. Price and Son, local morticians, and then taken to the John Henderson Company Funeral Home, Johnstown, Monday afternoon, and services were held Wednesday afternoon.
