Kelly, 84, left his Laurelwood Home on Oct. 15, 2008, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many of his friends knew him as "Murph," or "Charlie." Born April 16, 1924, in Johnstown, son of Thomas and Mary (Ilip) Kelly. Preceded in death by parents; infant brother, George; brother, Stephen Kelly; and sisters, Helen Miljanovich and Christina Whiteof. Survived by wife of 56 years, Cora Patricia (Brett) Kelly, Johnstown; daughter, Diane, married to Fred Truscott, Johnstown; and son, the Rev. Charles T. Kelly, married to the former Margie Stoner, Friedens. Also survived by grandchildren, Jason Truscott, Jared Truscott, Robyn (Truscott) and husband, Donald Taylor, and Dr. Tracy Farone and husband, Jason Farone; and great-grandchildren, Kylie and Madison Taylor and Caleb Farone. A brother of George Kelly, Palo Alto, Calif.; and Rose Mary Mack, Perrysburg, N.Y. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends. While in the hospital Charlie wanted to get back to his buddies and nurses at Laurelwood. The Lord was gracious in granting his request before his departure. Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving overseas with dignity and honor. Retired from the Wire Mill Division of the Bethlehem Steel Corp. with 40 years of service. A member of the Senior Citizens and Christian Community Church of Boswell, where his son is the pastor. His favorite hobbies were fishing and playing his harmonica. He loved helping people and would give regularly to various charities and ministries worldwide. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends; but they rejoice knowing he's with his Savior in heaven. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Charles T. Kelly, interment Grandview Cemetery.
