Kemp, died at her home at Princess Anne, Md., Dec. 21, 1939, at the age of 65 years. Her death was caused by recurring heart attacks. She was a native of Garrett County, Md., and was well known and highly esteemed by many persons in Somerset County, Pa., including some in Salisbury, and also in her native county in Maryland, and in the Princess Anne community on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where she was a resident for 32 years, going there with her husband who owns and operates the Bountiful Ridge Nurseries. Mrs. Kemp was a daughter of the late George E. and Martha Bishoff, of Hayes, Md., and besides her husband is survived by two sons, Homer and Edgar Kemp, business partners of their father; two brothers, William E. Bishoff, of Norfolk, Va., and Thomas E. Bishoff, of Oakland, Md., and by three sisters, Mrs. H. M. Casteel of Grafton, W.Va., Mrs. Paul M. Mitchell of Oakland, Md., and Mrs. Henry P. Miller of Salisbury, Pa., and by five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Manokin Presbyterian Church, Sunday afternoon, Dec. 24, by Rev. Lloyd S. Hyndman, assisted by Rev. Tilghman Smith, pastor of the Antioch Methodist Church. Mrs. Kemp was a member of the first mentioned church at Princess Anne. Interment was in the cemetery of the Monokin Presbyterian Church. She was a wife and mother of the finest type, and her death has left an aching void in many hearts, and in the numerous places where she was known. Meyersdale Republican, January 4, 1940
