Joseph Anthony Kemp was returned to Meyersdale on Monday and laid to final rest in the Catholic Cemetery, Wednesday morning, Sept. 22, after funeral services were conducted in SS. Philip and James Church. He was the son of Matthew and Mabel Kemp of 303 Olinger Street, and was 20 years of age when he lost his life in the service of his country in ?erry, France, August 3, 1944. He served in the Army four years, and was overseas two years. Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers and one sister, James M. Kemp, Meyersdale; John C., Jerry D. and Joyce Anne, at home. Military Services were conducted by the American Legion. R. Reich & son had charge of the funeral arrangements.
