Born March 17, 1918 in Giles County, Va. Daughter of Samuel H. and Ida Florence (Pyle) Tinkey. Preceded in death by parents, sisters, Grace Tinkey, Ann Sleasman, Viola Wiley and Sadie Lock, and brothers Floyd, Dewey, Glenn, Ralph and Woodrow Tinkey. Survived by children: Mrs. Robert C. (Janet) White of Uniontown, Ohio; Thomas C., Myers and Jacob S. Myers, both of Cutler, Ohio. She was a foster mother to 27 children. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Bertha Durst of Somerset; Mrs. Virginia Crooks, Poland, Ohio, and Mrs. Frederick (Orpha) Myers of Jerusalem, Ohio. Nurse for Little Forest Nursing Center, Akron, Ohio, retiring in 1981. Private services were conducted Thursday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Interment, Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Indian Head.
