  KENNEDY
  
  M. Irene (Heckman) Kennedy, 96, Patriot Manor, Somerset, formerly of
  Boswell RD, died April 4, 2000 at the manor.  Born Dec. 19, 1903 in Jenner
  Township, daughter of William H. and Bertha May (Trexel) Heckrnan. 
  Preceded in death by parents, husband, Roy H. on Feb. 28, 1980, son Robert,
  and brothers, Bryan and John.  Survived by son, William H., married to the
  former Jane Steen, Boswell RD; 3 grandchildren, William Roy, married to the
  former Lisa Vickovich, Boswell RD, James Dean, married to the former Bonnie
  Forney, Carlisle, and Janene Fay, married to Donald Miller, Halifax, Pa.; 2
  great-grandchildren, Kellee Kennedy and Kimberly Miller.  Past member of the
  former Jerome Lutheran Church and the former St. James Lutheran Church,
  where she taught Sunday School for many years.  Graduate of Cambria-Rowe
  Business College and the University of Pittsburgh.  A retired elementary
  school teacher with the former JBJ Joint School District with over 33 years
  of service.  Irene's favorite past-times were canning, cooking, crocheting
  and working on her dad's farm.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.  Funeral
  service at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell.  The
  Rev. Don Speigle and Larry Hoover officiating.  There will be no viewing at
  the church.  Interment, St. James Cemetery, Jenner Township.
