   William H. Kennedy, 76, Jenner Township, died April 17, 2008, at Memorial Medical
  Center. Born June 28, 1931, in Jenner Township, son of Roy H. and M. Irene (Heckman)
  Kennedy. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Robert. Survived by wife of 51 years,
  the former Jane E. Steen; children, William Roy, Somerset Pike; James Dean, married to
  Bonnie Forney, Carlisle; and Janene Fay, married to Donald Miller, Halifax;
  grandchildren, Kellee Kennedy and Kimberly and Katelyn Miller; and "grandferret," Cloie.
  He was a 1949 graduate of the former JBJ Joint High School. Coast Guard veteran of the
  Korean War, having served as a boatswain mate second class, stationed in Vicksburg, Miss.
  Retired craneman from the Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp., with 33 years of
  service. A longtime area school bus and charter bus driver. He attended the Happy
  Valley Baptist Church, Somerset, and Somerset Alliance Church. Viewing will be held from
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St.,
  Boswell. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Happy Valley Church, 1938 N. Center
  Ave., Somerset. (No viewing at the church.) Interment St. James Cemetery, Jenner
  Township, with military graveside rites in charge of Somerset County Honor Guard.
