Kennell, 93, of Somerset RD 7, died Jan. 29, 1990, in Somerset Hospital. Born Dec. 14, 1896, in Saltlick Township, Fayette County, a son of the late Simon M. and Jennie M. (Dumbauld) Kennell. Preceded in death by wife, Mabel Miller; two sons, Walter W. and Robert. Survived by three grandchildren: Casey Kennell, Somerset RD 7, with whom he resided; Larry Kennell and Lori, wife of Roger Miller; also five great-grandchildren. Brother of Rev. Woodrow Kennell, Indianapolis, Ind.; Miss Mabel Kennell, Berlin, and Dorothy Geary, Naples, Fla. Member of Grace United Methodist Church. Veteran of World War I. Member of Somerset Aerie 1801, FOE; S.S. Crouse Post 181, American Legion, and Operators, Plasterers and Cement Masons International No. 480, Johnstown. Was a retired plasterer. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Charles F. Olson officiating.
