Kennell, 64, of 2416 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, formerly of Garrett, died unexpectedly June 26, 1975, in Akron, Ohio, City Hospital. Born July 10, 1910, in Garrett, he was a son of the late Harvey and Margaret (Christner) Kennell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy, in 1972. Surviving are three sisters: Miss Edna Kennell, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Matheney, Barberton, Ohio; and Mrs. Orpha Peck of Meyersdale. Mr. Kennell was a federal stationary engineer at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, and retired last week after 38 years of service. He had also served with the U.S. Navy from 1928 to 1933. Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon in Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin, with Rev. William F. Phennicie officiating. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
